United Surgeons for Children, the U.S. affiliate of La Chaine de l’Espoir, is pleased to announce the hiring of its first Executive Director, Martin Bischoff. Martin joins USFC after an extensive career in management and international business development, most recently as Managing Director of the French-American Chamber of Commerce in New York.
“Martin brings expertise and connections which will help USFC and La Chaine de l’Espoir expand their American network, which has so far been supportive of our global pediatric medical care programs.”, said Anouchka Finker, CEO of La Chaine de l’Espoir. United Surgeons for Children is the U.S. affiliate of La Chaine de l’Espoir, a Paris, France-based charitable organization that provides pediatric surgical care, medical training, infrastructure, and child health programs in low-income countries.
2022 accomplishments include:
- 70 medical missions
- 10,000+ surgeries
- 170,000+ program beneficiaries
- 430+ days of in-country medical team training
- 400m3 and 40 tons of medical equipment and consumables delivered
- 33 countries with active programs
